San Diego police investigate unfounded threat at Mt. Carmel High School

Mt. Carmel High School in San Diego underwent a brief lockdown on Monday following a 9-1-1 call reporting an armed individual in a campus bathroom. The San Diego Police Department deployed significant resources to the scene, conducting thorough searches of all classrooms and buildings to ensure student and staff safety.

Authorities ultimately determined the report was unfounded, and the campus was deemed safe. As a precaution, nearby Sunset Hills Elementary and Black Mountain Middle School were also placed into secure campus mode. Students and staff were able to return to their normal activities after officers confirmed no suspect was present.
