In collegiate golf, the San Diego State men’s team and freshman Brayden Forte are leading the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The tournament was temporarily suspended on Friday due to rain. San Diego State holds a two-stroke lead over Santa Clara and host New Mexico at 14-under-par. Individually, Forte leads the 88-man field at 11-under-par, two strokes ahead of Santa Clara’s Emil Nielsen.

In collegiate tennis, Santa Clara players Tiago Boschmans and Alex Bergomi secured opening round victories in the singles blue flight at the Aggie Invite in Davis, California. Boschmans defeated Nevada’s Axel Huysmans in three sets, while Bergomi earned his first collegiate victory by defeating Sacramento State’s Jacopo Antonelli.
