San Diego State football enters third week of fall camp
San Diego State University football has entered the third week of fall camp following the “First Saturday at Snapdragon” scrimmage. The scrimmage, held at Snapdragon Stadium before approximately 500 fans, allowed the team to compete in a live setting for the first time since the spring.
Head coach Sean Lewis noted the importance of community engagement at the stadium and highlighted the development of several players. Notable performances included wide receiver Bert Emanuel Jr., Isaac Lucas, and true freshman Daishaun Davis. Freshman wide receiver Carson Diehl also showed promise with several catches during situational drills.
As the team returns to the Fowler Athletic Center for regular practices, the coaching staff is focusing on depth in the wide receiver room and the development of the offensive line under new coach Bill O’Boyle. The Aztecs are preparing for their regular season opener, which is less than three weeks away.
