San Donato di Lecce to Open New Cultural Center, Kindergarten and School Cafeteria

The municipality of San Donato di Lecce announced the completion of three public works that will be inaugurated after the August holidays. The projects include the Polo delle Arti e della Cultura di Galugnano, a new arts and culture hub; the Scuola dell'Infanzia dedicated to Anna Rita Perrone, a renovated kindergarten; and a modern mensa (cafeteria) for the Scuola Primaria “Raffaella Carlino”.

The total investment for these initiatives is about €2.5 million, reflecting the administration’s focus on improving cultural, educational and social services. Mayor Alessandro Quarta emphasized the commitment to “the politics of doing”, noting that the new facilities will enhance the quality of life for residents. In September, the town plans additional works such as a new municipal sports field, upgrades to several piazzas, the “Le Pozze” area, the Giardini Vese, and road‑asphalt and sewer‑network improvements.
