San Felipe authorities schedule final eviction for Toma de San Felipe

Authorities in San Felipe, Chile, have scheduled the final eviction of the Toma de San Felipe settlement for November 26. This operation aims to dismantle more than 100 remaining homes on a site that was partially cleared on October 8.

Sebastián Caldera, the provincial presidential delegate of San Felipe de Aconcagua, announced the decision following meetings with the municipality, Esval, Carabineros, and the PDI. Caldera stated that the operation will follow the same logistical steps as previous evictions and expressed hope for a peaceful process, noting that fewer people and structures remain compared to earlier stages.

Carabineros is responsible for the specific technical planning and logistics of the deployment. Additionally, professionals from the Colegio de Veterinarios de Chile will be present during the operation.
