San Felipe health facility awaits opening due to administrative delays

The construction of the High Resolution Service (SAR) at the Cesfam Segismundo Iturra in San Felipe is complete, but the facility remains closed pending administrative procedures. Local officials are awaiting information from the Aconcagua Health Service (SSA) to finalize the project.

Acting Mayor Cristian Aravena stated that while the municipality is prepared, the SSA must provide necessary information to the Works Directorate to resolve observations previously issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urbanism (Minvu).

Councilman Basilio Muena Arias has criticized the delay, describing the situation as “inacceptable” and “intolerable,” noting that the infrastructure has been finished for months without providing medical services to the community.
