San Felipe search collective finds human remains

The Célula de Búsqueda de Investigación de Desaparecidos discovered human remains in the Las Minitas area of San Felipe, near the Mexicali-San Felipe highway. The discovery occurred on Saturday, September 5, during a search operation targeting three specific locations related to two missing persons.

Using forensic geo-tracking drone technology and specialized field equipment, searchers identified superficial remains, including rib fragments and other bones, within a 25-meter perimeter. Following the discovery, members of the Mexican Navy (Marina) arrived to secure the scene, and agents from the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) were notified to conduct forensic procedures.

The collective continues its specialized search in other areas of San Felipe to locate Clemente Sergio Ortega, 32, and Ignacio Raúl Espinoza Ávila, 24, both of whom are reported missing.
