San Fernando advances urban development projects

The San Fernando City Council has moved forward with several urban development initiatives. The project for the Fadricas Powder Magazines (Polvorines de Fadricas) has entered the public exhibition and allegations phase. This project aims to transform the site into a large public park acting as a green corridor between Caño Herrera and La Casería beach. The land was acquired from the Ministry of Defense for approximately 428,631 euros to facilitate the conservation and rehabilitation of this historical heritage site.

Additionally, the municipality has announced infrastructure improvements in the San Frontis and Rabiche areas. Planned works include the paving of Fermoselle Street with concrete and the installation of a sanitation network. In Rabiche, a municipal plot will be paved to create a resident parking area and a new playground. The playground project, part of the ‘Soñando Parques’ program, includes a 155-square-meter sand area with various play elements and a wooden pergola, with a projected budget of 43,507 euros.
