San Fernando and Paclín agree to install five weather stations

The mayors of San Fernando, Gustavo Saadi, and Paclín, Eduardo Menecier, have signed a cooperation agreement to provide and install five meteorological stations in the Paclín department. The devices were developed and assembled by technicians at the San Fernando Technological Node.

The stations will be integrated into the Municipal Meteorological Station Network (REMM) to monitor climate variables in real time and generate early warning systems. This initiative aims to improve monitoring of water basins, particularly in anticipation of the summer season and the influence of the El Niño phenomenon.

The new sensors will be located in La Merced, Balcozna, San Antonio, and the southern sector of the jurisdiction. The project includes technical assistance and training for local personnel to ensure the correct interpretation of meteorological data, benefiting local farmers, residents, and tourists.
