San Fernando Club Wins 17 Medals at Andalusian Junior Swimming Championships

The Club Natación San Fernando captured 17 medals (9 gold, 5 silver, 3 bronze) and finished third in the junior team ranking at the 35th Campeonato de Andalucía Absoluto‑Junior Open de Natación de Verano, held from 31 July to 2 August 2026 at the Inacua Aquatic Center in Málaga. The competition featured 546 swimmers from 62 clubs.

Individual highlights for San Fernando included Yerai Amado Pérez, who won junior gold in the 1500 m and 800 m freestyle and also took gold in the 400 m freestyle; David Rodríguez Piñero, who earned an absolute silver in the 50 m backstroke and junior gold in the same event; and Guillermo Espinosa Carrasco, who swept junior gold in the 50 m, 100 m and 200 m butterfly, setting age‑group and club records.

The Club Natación Melilla was represented solely by Alejandro Fernández, who met the qualifying standards for the 50 m and 100 m butterfly and freestyle events. Fernández posted times of 59.08 s (34th in Andalusia) in the 100 m butterfly, 26.40 s (48th) in the 50 m butterfly, 54.49 s (57th) in the 100 m freestyle, and competed in the 50 m freestyle on the final day.
