Spain celebrates autumn traditions and seasonal festivities

Various regions across Spain are hosting cultural and seasonal events to mark the end of October and the arrival of autumn. In Huelva, María Castañeda presents ‘Hecatombe’ as part of the Sur Escena program, an audiovisual and theatrical performance exploring identity and power structures.

Several municipalities are focusing on Samhain and Halloween traditions. Rioscuro is organizing a festival featuring local history, music, and gastronomy, while Parada is hosting a pumpkin decoration workshop for children. In San Fernando, neighborhood associations in Villa Carmela, Camposoto, and Huerta El Lolo are preparing themed horror passages, including outdoor circus-themed experiences.

Other regional activities include a theatricalized mythological route titled ‘El Resurgir’ in Derroñadas, Soria, and an interactive magic and wine session titled ‘El Misterio de doña Encarna’ in Jumilla. Additionally, the town of La Victoria continues its tradition of consuming ‘doblaítas’, a unique seasonal pastry shaped like animals, to commemorate All Saints' Day.
