San Fernando to begin synthetic turf installation at Bahía Sur

The San Fernando City Council has announced that the installation of new, high-generation synthetic turf at Field 1 of the Bahía Sur Sports City will begin on August 24. The project is expected to take 21 days to complete.

Prior to this phase, waterproofing and surface preparation work was conducted over a three-month period at a cost of 450,000 euros, funded by the Bahía Sur Homeowners Association. This waterproofing was essential to prevent leaks into the Bahía Sur shopping center located beneath the field.

The new playing surface will cover 5,051.36 square meters and will include marking lines integrated into the turf according to Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) regulations. The layout will feature one 11-a-side football pitch and two 7-a-side pitches.
