San Fernando to host free Fit Gipsy Dance masterclass
The San Fernando City Council, in collaboration with local certified instructors, will host a free public masterclass of Fit Gipsy Dance at Plaza del Rey on October 3 at 12:00 PM. The event will feature Ana Franco, the creator of the discipline, along with her management team, Mónica Alcina and Javi Sánchez.
Fit Gipsy Dance is a low-impact discipline that integrates physical exercise with flamenco elements such as the fan (abanico) or the rod (garrota), and utilizes castanets as a tool for music therapy. The practice incorporates various flamenco rhythms, including rumbas, tanguillos, bulerías, and tangos, to promote body toning and well-being. The activity is designed to be accessible to all ages and is currently seeing high demand within the city's Municipal Dance School and private academies.
