San Floro to host Radici di Seta cultural project

The town of San Floro in the province of Catanzaro will host the “Radici di Seta – Rito e comunità” project, an initiative funded by the Calabria Region to explore the village's history and identity.

The program consists of two main events. On October 1, an artistic photography exhibition will open, showcasing images of local faces and landscapes to reconstruct the community's memory. This will be followed on October 3 by a theatrical performance in Piazza Marconi.

Directed by Patrizia Anania with a text by Adriana Mazza and a special appearance by Daniela Mazza, the play features direct participation from local residents. The community members will serve as both actors and extras, making the performance a collective narrative. The production draws on historical elements of the region, including the presence of Basilian monks and the local silk-making tradition involving mulberry trees.
