San Francesco Saverio Award ceremony held in Tessano

The 21st edition of the San Francesco Saverio Award was held in the village of Tessano, a hamlet of Dipignano. Directed by Gianni Perri, the event aims to recognize individuals from the Calabria region who contribute positively to the territory through their work in civil society, art, culture, politics, and various professions.

The selection criteria for the award include morality, Calabrian origin, and the promotion of the local territory. The ceremony opened with an appeal for peace and the liberation of Palestine.

Award recipients for this edition included Deputy Anna Laura Orrico, journalists Antonio Ricchio and Giada Bruno, the Rector of the University of Calabria Gianluigi Greco, Cosenza police official Paola Fabris, Michelin-starred chef Marco Trentinella, dancer Luigia Garofalo, and several musicians including Carlo Lucisano, Nestore Verre, Ylenia Lucisano, Corinne Barone, and Cecilia Larosa.
