San Francisco 49ers host Miami Dolphins in Week 2 matchup

The San Francisco 49ers are set to host the Miami Dolphins at Levi’s Stadium for a Week 2 NFL matchup on September 20, 2026. The 49ers enter the game as heavy favorites following a Week 1 victory over the Los Angeles Rams, while the Dolphins seek to rebound from a 27-13 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.

In preparation for the 80th anniversary of the franchise, the 49ers have unveiled new merchandise and expanded culinary offerings at the stadium. New menu items include the Champions Steak Board, Sourdough Sam Melt, and the Cinna Sundae Smash, developed by Levy Restaurants and local Bay Area chefs.

Analysts have noted the contrasting momentum between the two teams. The Dolphins' offense, led by quarterback Malik Willis, faces a significant challenge against a San Francisco defense that has shown strength in pass rushing. Meanwhile, the 49ers are returning to their home stadium after opening their season in Australia, a trip that required specialized sleep and circadian rhythm management for the players.
