San Francisco 49ers remain undefeated after 23-17 win over Commanders

The San Francisco 49ers improved to a 6-0 season record following a 23-17 victory against the Washington Commanders at Levi’s Stadium. Quarterback Brock Purdy threw a touchdown pass to George Kittle, while Christian McCaffrey recorded two rushing touchdowns.

Despite a commanding 20-point halftime lead, the 49ers faced a late surge from Washington. Jayden Daniels threw two second-half touchdown passes to narrow the deficit, but the San Francisco defense secured the win with a crucial fourth-down pass breakup by Malik Mustapha and a game-ending sack.

The victory comes amid significant injury concerns for the 49ers' receiving corps. Star wide receiver Mike Evans is currently being managed for Achilles tendinitis after leaving Monday's game early. Additionally, the team is awaiting the return of Christian Kirk from a calf injury as they prepare for their upcoming Week 7 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.
