San Francisco 49ers eye trade deadline moves for Khalil Mack and Malik Mustapha
The San Francisco 49ers are expected to be active buyers ahead of the November 10 NFL trade deadline. To bolster their defensive line and address pass rush depth, analysts have suggested a potential trade for Los Angeles Chargers veteran Khalil Mack. Despite the Chargers' 0-4 start, Mack has maintained strong production, including three sacks and 14 pressures. A proposed trade involves the 49ers sending a 2027 conditional fourth-round pick to acquire the 35-year-old edge rusher to complement Nick Bosa.
Additionally, the 49ers may consider trading safety Malik Mustapha. Although Mustapha has significant starting experience, he has seen limited playing time under new defensive coordinator Raheem Morris. Given his youth and remaining contract control, he could serve as a valuable asset for a team looking for experienced depth, potentially allowing the 49ers to acquire players at other positions of need.
