San Francisco 49ers face injury crisis as Nick Bosa sidelined

The San Francisco 49ers are facing a significant injury crisis following their 36-30 victory over the Arizona Cardinals. Star defensive end Nick Bosa is expected to miss multiple weeks due to a calf injury sustained in practice. While the team is not currently planning to place him on injured reserve, his absence leaves a void in the pass rush.

Other key players are also sidelined or managing injuries. Wide receiver Mike Evans is dealing with rib issues, and left tackle Trent Williams is managing a neck injury. The roster has been further depleted by season-ending injuries to players such as defensive tackle Alfred Collins and receiver Ricky Pearsall.

To address the lack of pass-rush depth, the 49ers have signed veteran defensive end Matthew Judon to the practice squad. Additionally, trade rumors have linked the team to Arizona Cardinals edge rusher Josh Sweat as a potential solution to bolster the defense before the trade deadline.
