San Francisco 49ers news: Purdy, Greenlaw, and McCaffrey

The San Francisco 49ers face several storylines heading into Week 5 of the NFL season. Quarterback Brock Purdy is highlighted for his versatility in offensive alignments, which coach Kyle Shanahan notes can disrupt defensive schemes by forcing players into unexpected roles.

In disciplinary news, linebacker Dre Greenlaw was fined nearly $12,000 by the NFL for taunting directed at the Denver Broncos sideline, despite Shanahan previously praising his aggressive playing style.

Off the field, 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey and Olivia Culpo announced the birth of their second child, a son named Roman Augustus.
