San Francisco 49ers Re‑Sign Veteran Defensive Tackle Kevin Givens
The San Francisco 49ers have re‑signed defensive tackle Kevin Givens to a one‑year contract, adding veteran depth to a young defensive line. To make room, the team waived undrafted rookie Evan Anderson. In addition, rookie defensive tackle Alfred Collins, running back Isaac Guerendo, tight end George Kittle and defensive lineman Mykel Williams were placed on the active/physically unable‑to‑perform (PUP) list as the roster prepares for training camp. The 49ers reported for camp on Saturday and will open the preseason at home against the Tennessee Titans on Aug. 13. Givens, with the franchise since 2019 and two Super Bowl appearances, now exceeds $10 million in career earnings and is expected to provide veteran leadership and reliable depth on the interior defensive line.
