San Francisco, Argentina and Oruro, Bolivia Deploy New Community Surveillance Cameras

The Regional Community San Justo in Argentina purchased 250 monitoring cameras with its own funds and allocated seven of them to the municipality of San Francisco. The new devices join an existing network linked to the Citizen Attention Center and are intended to strengthen security, according to Mayor Damián Bernarte and regional president Miguel Méndez.

In Oruro, Bolivia, the local neighborhood board Junta Vecinal Rosario 3 inaugurated two surveillance cameras at the intersection of Arica and Sucre streets. The project, financed by residents and led by board president Mario Silvestre Miranda, aims to improve public safety and curb littering. Miranda noted the absence of municipal officials at the ceremony and said the board will seek additional funding from Banco Unión to expand the system.
