San Francisco Chinatown hosts 5th annual car show and parade
The 5th Annual San Francisco Chinatown Car Show & Parade took place on Grant Avenue, transforming the historic neighborhood into a showcase for diverse automotive culture. The event featured a wide array of vehicles, including Japanese domestic market (JDM) builds, American muscle cars, high-end luxury models like Lamborghinis and BMWs, and classic vehicles such as a 1964 Chevrolet Impala and a 1969 Camaro.
Organized by the Chinatown History & Culture Association (CHCA), the Chinese American Association of Commerce (CAAC), and the American Chinese Herb Trade Association, the event occupied the stretch of Grant Avenue between Broadway and California Street. The show allowed spectators to view vehicles amidst the unique architecture and storefronts of Chinatown rather than in a traditional parking lot setting. The festivities included a car parade that drew crowds of local residents and enthusiasts.
