San Francisco completes urban infrastructure and road works

The Municipality of San Francisco has completed several urban infrastructure projects aimed at improving city mobility and drainage.

In one project, repairs to the cobblestone paving on Bv. 9 de Julio, located in front of the Bus Terminal, have been finalized. The work covered approximately 323 square meters and involved the placement of roughly 20,350 cobblestones. Mayor Damián Bernarte noted that while the project took eight weeks—longer than the initial four-to-five-week estimate due to the specialized nature of the artisanal repair—the intervention was necessary for the city.

Additionally, the city has opened Rosario de Santa Fe Avenue in the Parque Norte subdivision. This project included the construction of a new stormwater drainage canal located in the center of the roadway, a first for the city's morphology. The work, which connects the University Pole with the Parque Las Rosas subdivision, is designed to assist in rainwater evacuation and manage the West Basin's runoff. The project was a collaborative effort between the municipality, local developers, and the contractor AIVEL S.A.
