San Francisco de Macorís and Enping formalize sister city agreement

San Francisco de Macorís and Enping, located in the Guangdong province of China, have formalized a sister city agreement to promote cooperation and development. The agreement was signed virtually on September 16, 2026, by Mayor Antonio Díaz Paulino and Enping representative Chen Xiaoping.

The partnership establishes a framework for exchange in several sectors, including economy and trade, urban management and construction, culture, tourism, education, sports, and environmental protection. The agreement aims to strengthen ties through mutual visits, communication on shared interests, and the implementation of concrete projects to benefit both communities.
