San Francisco del Rincón implements Agriculture of the Future program

The municipal government of San Francisco del Rincón, through its Directorate of Rural and Agri-food Development, has launched the “Agricultura del Futuro” (Agriculture of the Future) program. The initiative aims to strengthen local agricultural activities and support producing families within the municipality.

The program involves a total investment of 404,800 pesos, utilizing both state and municipal resources. The funding is divided into two main components: the distribution of Persian lime plants and oat seeds. The lime plant component benefits eight producers across eight hectares with an investment of 144,000 pesos, while the oat seed component supports 46 producers working 162 hectares with an investment of 260,800 pesos.

Mayor Toño Marún emphasized that supporting the rural sector is essential for strengthening family economies and generating community opportunities, stating, “When the countryside does well, San Francisco del Rincón also does well.”
