San Francisco del Rincón to host 8th annual Pambazo Festival

San Francisco del Rincón will host the 8th annual Festival del Pambazo on September 5 and 6 in the municipality's main garden. The event serves as a significant showcase for local culinary identity, featuring more than 127 gastronomic exhibitors.

In addition to local pambazos, the festival will include products from other Guanajuato municipalities, such as traditional molcajetes from Comonfort, crafts from Apaseo el Alto, and sweets from Celaya. The celebration will also feature live performances by local bands, mariachis, and cultural groups, alongside tasting sessions.

Local authorities and traditional cooks emphasize that the festival is more than a commercial opportunity; it is a way to preserve and promote the region's gastronomic culture. The local version of the pambazo is distinguished by a specific type of bread that is smaller and softer than those used in other regions.
