Colorado Rockies defeat San Francisco Giants 13-7 to win season series
The Colorado Rockies secured a season series victory over the San Francisco Giants with a 13-7 win on Sunday at Oracle Park. The victory was fueled by three-run home runs from Adael Amador and Brett Sullivan. Amador’s home run, his first of the season, hit into McCovey Cove during the second inning to give the Rockies an early lead.
Despite a three-run home run from the Giants’ Rafael Devers, the Rockies pulled ahead in the sixth inning following a series of walks and a two-run single by Mickey Moniak. Sullivan’s seventh home run of the season in the seventh inning extended the lead. The win marks the first time the Rockies have won a season series against the Giants since 2020.
Earlier in the three-game series, the Rockies also defeated the Giants 5-2 on Friday, led by eight strong innings from pitcher Kyle Freeland and a home run from Zac Veen.
