San Francisco launches inaugural basketball Copa Ciudad 2026

The Municipality of San Francisco has officially presented the inaugural Copa Ciudad de San Francisco 2026, a basketball tournament featuring the city's professional teams: San Isidro, El Ceibo, and El Tala.

Following a triangular format, the competition will take place across three different local stadiums between September 23 and October 7. Each team will play two matches, serving as the home team for one. The tournament schedule is as follows:

• September 23: El Ceibo vs. El Tala at the Antonio Cena stadium. • September 30: El Tala vs. San Isidro at the Luis Rafael Ferreyra stadium. • October 7: San Isidro vs. El Ceibo at the Antonio Manno stadium.

The winner will be determined by the highest number of victories, with point difference serving as a tiebreaker. The initiative aims to integrate the competition into the local sports calendar and revitalize interest in matchups between the city's clubs.
