San Francisco marks 140th anniversary amid economic challenges
The city of San Francisco is marking its 140th anniversary amidst a challenging national economic and social crisis. Mayor Damián Bernarte stated that while the country's industrial sector is heavily damaged, the city remains focused on growth and development. He noted that local industries, characterized by smaller enterprises with strong ties between employers and employees, have managed to mitigate the impact of the crisis more effectively than other regions.
In addition to municipal developments, the civil association Impulsar Futuro is celebrating five years of community work. To mark the milestone, the organization is hosting a community event at Plaza Vélez Sarsfield featuring a local entrepreneur fair, live music, and recreational activities. The association, which was founded in 2021 to formalize social support efforts, is also collecting non-perishable food donations for local soup kitchens and dining halls.
