San Francisco nonprofit linked to Mayor Lurie runs political ads

The nonprofit Believe in SF, which is linked to San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie, has begun running online advertisements that promote the mayor’s political agenda. Founded by Adam Clammer and Alec Perkins—individuals previously involved in a $6.7 million PAC that supported Lurie’s 2024 election—the organization is utilizing ad space to highlight the mayor's achievements, such as rental protections and housing affordability.

As a 501(c)(3) organization, Believe in SF is legally prohibited from endorsing political candidates. Consequently, the advertisements avoid naming Lurie directly while linking to city resources. Records indicate the nonprofit may plan to spend up to $30 million through 2027 on priorities aligned with the mayor’s administration.
