San Francisco police arrest suspects in two homicide cases

The San Francisco Police Department has announced two separate arrests related to homicide investigations in the city.

Gregory C. Morton, 32, was taken into custody by the Violence Reduction Team after being located in Oakland. Morton is accused of a shooting that occurred on March 24 in the 1800 block of Sunnydale Avenue in the Ingleside District. The victim sustained life-threatening injuries and later died at a local hospital. Morton has been booked into the San Francisco County Jail on homicide charges.

In a separate development, authorities have made an arrest in a 2008 cold case involving the murder of 28-year-old Jason Mosely. The incident occurred on April 27, 2008, on the 500 block of Fulton Street in the Western Addition neighborhood. The SFPD Cold Case Unit identified 40-year-old Derreyl Goode as a suspect. U.S. Marshals arrested Goode in Los Angeles under a Ramey warrant. The investigation remains active.
