San Francisco teenager assaults 7-year-old stepson in Zulia
A 16-year-old girl in San Francisco, Zulia, assaulted her 7-year-old stepson with a sandal after he reportedly ate powdered chicha. The incident was reported by a neighbor who heard the child screaming.
Police from the Cuerpo de Policía Bolivariana del estado Zulia (Cpbez) responded to the scene in the 28 de Diciembre neighborhood. The child was transported to the Hospital Dr. Manuel Noriega Trigo, where medical specialists diagnosed injuries to his face, nasal septum, back, arm, and right thigh.
The Council for the Protection of Children, Girls, and Adolescents of the San Francisco Municipality has intervened to ensure the child's safety. The case has been handed over to Prosecution 31 of the Public Ministry in Zulia for legal proceedings.
