San Francisco to host 2027 Boccia World Championship

San Francisco, Argentina, has been selected to host the 2027 Boccia World Championship. The tournament is scheduled to take place from March 10 to 13 at the Superdomo under the Servín modality, a discipline that combines elements of Raffa Volo and petanque played on a 27-meter court.

Pascal Hernández, president of the International Bowling Federation (FIB), recently visited the city to inspect facilities, including hotel and gastronomic services, to prepare for the event. The championship is expected to feature delegations from over 20 countries across Europe, Africa, and South America, including nations such as France, Italy, Croatia, Montenegro, Slovenia, Peru, Chile, Brazil, and Uruguay.

This marks the fifth time Argentina will host a Boccia World Championship and the second for the Servín modality. Local sports director Juan Iturburu noted that hosting an event of this magnitude places the city on the global stage.
