San Francisco's Fleet Fest moves to Fisherman's Wharf
Fleet Fest 2026 in San Francisco has shifted its focus from the traditional aerial displays of Fleet Week to land-based military technology and community engagement. To centralize activities, organizers moved the event from Marina Green to Fisherman’s Wharf.
The event allows visitors to explore military equipment, examine vintage vehicles, and interact directly with service members and first responders. Activities include tours of ships, a service and safety expo at Pier 27, and hands-on challenges such as a Marine Corps pull-up competition.
Captain Jonathan Baxter of the San Francisco Fire Department noted that the event aims to showcase that public servants are members of the local community. The program is designed to be interactive, providing a way for the public to see military and emergency equipment up close rather than only observing from the air.
