San Gabriel neighborhood celebrates Noche de Candiles in Alicante

The San Gabriel neighborhood in Alicante celebrated its second annual ‘Noche de Candiles’ (Night of Lanterns), an event designed to promote local commerce and hospitality. Thousands of LED candles illuminated the streets, Plaza del Refugio, and Plaza Menéndez Pelayo, transforming the historic area into a space for community gathering.

Organized by the Association of Merchants of San Gabriel with support from the Alicante City Council, the initiative featured approximately thirty participating businesses. The event included live music performances by artists such as Ángel Rodes, Omar and Marvin, Los Consentíos, Kiko Josué, and Kelvin. In addition to the musical programming, attendees could visit craft markets and enjoy local gastronomy at various street stalls and established restaurants.
