San Gennaro festivals celebrate Italian culture in Brazil
Various editions of the San Gennaro Festival are celebrating Italian culture through music, dance, and gastronomy in Brazil.
In Pará, the Assembleia Paraense is hosting an event featuring soprano Lanna Bastos, who will perform Italian classics such as ‘O sole mio’ and ‘Volare’. The celebration also includes a Tarantela dance performance by the Ballare School of Dance.
In Bahia, the 7th edition of the festival returns to Rio Vermelho with a pop-rock theme. This edition pays tribute to Raul Seixas and features a ‘Rock in Gil’ performance by Larissa Luz. The event combines Italian traditions with local musical influences, offering a 12-hour program of shows, theater, and food.
