San Giorgio Canavese: 22-year-old motorcyclist killed in collision

A 22-year-old motorcyclist, Alexis Alexander Pagliero of Castellamonte, died following a violent collision in San Giorgio Canavese on Tuesday evening, August 18, 2026.

The accident occurred on the ring road near the traffic light intersection with the provincial road toward Lusigliè and Ciconio. Pagliero was riding a Suzuki motorcycle when he collided with a Fiat Panda. Preliminary investigations by the Carabinieri suggest the motorcycle was traveling toward Castellamonte when the car, traveling in the opposite direction, began a turning maneuver.

The impact was severe, causing the motorcycle to lose its front wheel and fork. Pagliero was thrown onto the asphalt and died at the scene despite attempts by emergency medical personnel to assist him. The driver of the car, a 33-year-old man, sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital in Ivrea. Authorities closed the road for over two hours to conduct investigations and secure the area.
