San Giorgio del Sannio declares mourning for former principal Anna Polito

The community of San Giorgio del Sannio has declared a day of mourning to honor Anna Polito, a former school principal of the ‘Rita Levi Montalcini’ Comprehensive Institute. Following her recent retirement, her funeral was held at the Sanctuary of Maria Santissima del Carmine in Sant’Agnese.

To honor her memory and dedication to education, the municipal administration ordered flags to be flown at half-mast and requested local businesses to lower their shutters during the service. The local government also coordinated with the school institute to allow staff to attend the ceremony.
