San Giovanni in Marignano library doubles its size

The municipal library in San Giovanni in Marignano has undergone a significant redesign, more than doubling its total area from 95 to over 200 square meters. This expansion was made possible through funding from the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.

The renovation includes the creation of two new study rooms, a dedicated space for early childhood (ages 0-6), and a multi-purpose “Young Adult” room. This new section features a specialized collection, a comic book section, and a ludoteca containing 60 board and role-playing games, alongside multimedia production equipment and video projection tools.

Additional improvements include exterior maintenance and a 24-hour external book return box available on holidays. Data from 2025 to 2026 indicates increased usage, with over 800 visits to the new study stations and a rise in total loans from 2,654 in 2023 to 3,830 in 2025, driven largely by younger users.
