San Giovanni Rotondo: Disabled man assaulted after months of harassment

A 25-year-old man with a disability in San Giovanni Rotondo, Foggia, has been the victim of a sustained campaign of harassment and a violent physical assault. According to a complaint filed by his family, a group of youths aged between 14 and 18 has been targeting the man since June.

The harassment reportedly included approximately 70 anonymous phone calls in a single month and instances of stones being thrown at his bedroom window. The situation escalated when the group approached the victim's home and insulted him regarding his disability. When the victim attempted to confront the group, they allegedly attacked him with stones, resulting in a broken nose.

Carabinieri have launched an investigation to identify the perpetrators. The victim's legal representative stated that these actions are not mere pranks but persecutory acts that are severely impacting the lives of the victim and his family.
