San Giuliano Terme councillor demands urgent road lighting repairs

Following a fatal accident on October 9, 2026, on the SP9 in via San Jacopo, local councillor Elisabetta Mazzarri has called for urgent maintenance and improved street lighting in San Giuliano Terme.

Mazzarri stated that the road has been dark for an extended period, with non-functional street lamps creating dangerous conditions. She noted that the lack of illumination poses significant risks to motorists and cyclists, particularly those returning from the local migrant reception center who often travel without lights or reflectors.

The councillor has previously submitted inquiries regarding the safety of this route and is now demanding immediate intervention from both the Municipality and the Province to restore lighting and secure the intersection with via delle Palanche.
