San Giuliano Terme to host “Walking for Simona” charity event

The “Walking for Simona” non-competitive running event is returning to San Giuliano Terme on November 1. The initiative serves to honor the memory of Simona, who passed away in 2015, while raising funds for AIL (Associazione italiana contro le leucemie) in Pisa.

Organizers have established five different distances for participants: 2, 4, 8, 10.5, and 17 kilometers. The event aims to support hematology research, home care, psychological support, and housing for patients and families dealing with blood diseases. The gathering will begin at Parco della Pace at 7:00 AM, with departures scheduled between 8:00 AM and 9:30 AM.
