San Giuliano Terme waste management decisions may increase citizen taxes

In San Giuliano Terme, new municipal decisions regarding waste management are expected to impact local taxpayers. According to Councilwoman Elisabetta Mazzarri, a resolution passed on March 19, 2026, will allow citizens to use the Pisa collection center, a service projected to cost the municipality 120,000 euros annually, with an initial 20,000 euros allocated for 2026.

Additionally, the municipality has assigned an external firm 1,610.40 euros for the extraction of TARI tax database information. Mazzarri noted that these cumulative costs for external services and new waste management protocols are likely to be covered by increases in the TARI waste tax paid by residents, businesses, and the elderly.
