San Ignacio to host inaugural El Sazón del Rancho festival
San Ignacio is set to host the inaugural ‘El Sazón del Rancho’ festival, scheduled to begin on October 17. The event will bring together 45 fishing and agricultural producers from various communities within the Mulegé municipality to showcase the gastronomy and traditions of northern Baja California Sur.
According to San Ignacio Tourism Coordinator Dorian Alberto Salvatierra, the initiative was developed by local producers who have previously participated in other regional events such as MaQueCho and the Festival del Cabrito. Participating communities include San Ignacio, La Laguna de San Ignacio, San Francisco de la Sierra, La Bocana, and Ejido Alfredo V. Bonfil.
The festival aims to highlight regional culture through vendor booths and live cooking demonstrations, featuring products ranging from Pacific and Sea of Cortez seafood to livestock and crops from the interior valleys and sierra foothills.
