San Isidro graduates 96 new medical specialists
The Municipality of San Isidro held a graduation ceremony at the Municipal Exhibition Center for 96 residents who completed postgraduate training at the Hospital Central de San Isidro and the Hospital Municipal Materno Infantil. Mayor Ramón Lanús presided, accompanied by Health Secretary Dr. Pablo de la Torre, Subsecretary of Public Health Dr. Victoria Erdocia, Administrative Subsecretary Ing. Ignacio Videla, medical leaders and families. The cohort includes 70 doctors from Hospital Central and 26 from the Maternal‑Infant hospital.
The event coincides with the national Ministry of Health’s recent award of Level A status to the majority of the two hospitals’ residency programs under the Integrated Evaluation System (SIER), recognizing academic excellence and high‑quality training. Officials said the new specialists will strengthen the local health system and reinforce San Isidro’s role as a reference center for medical education in Buenos Aires Province.
