San Isidro: Teenager dies before Stray Kids concert
A 16-year-old girl died on Monday after collapsing while attempting to enter the Stray Kids concert at the Hipódromo de San Isidro. The incident occurred around 7:00 PM during the STRAYCITY festival, which marked the South Korean K-pop group's first visit to Argentina.
The teenager was accompanied by her 22-year-old sister-in-law. Emergency services provided immediate assistance at the venue before transporting her to the Hospital Central Dr. Melchor Ángel Posse, located approximately 400 meters away. Despite resuscitation efforts by medical staff, she passed away due to cardiorespiratory arrest.
Preliminary autopsy results suggest the death may have been natural, caused by non-traumatic heart failure. The investigation is being conducted by the Unidad Funcional de Instrucción (UFI) No. 1 of San Isidro to determine the exact circumstances.
The Municipality of San Isidro stated that the event's permit included all required emergency services, such as ambulances, Red Cross personnel, hydration stations, and an approved health plan, all of which were verified on-site. The event organizer, DF Entertainment, issued a statement expressing deep condolences to the family and confirming their full cooperation with judicial authorities.
