San Javier hosts Oktoberfest from October 9 to 11

The Oktoberfest festival is returning to San Javier from October 9 to 11. Organized by the “El Cantazo” group, the event aims to faithfully recreate the traditional Bavarian celebration for charitable purposes.

The festivities will take place in the municipal festival grounds, featuring Bavarian-style decor, traditional clothing, and live music. The opening ceremony, involving the traditional barrel tapping by Mayor José Miguel Luengo, is scheduled for Friday, October 9, at 21:00. Musical performances include Mr. Hyde, Aparatus Band, Paloma Sin Basilio, La Calle, Antonio Micol, Bloody Mess, and Karp Diem.

Gastronomic offerings will include German sausages, roasted chicken, ribs, pork knuckle, wings, and burgers. Paulaner will provide three types of beer: a special Oktoberfest blonde, traditional wheat beer, and Salvator. Beer prices are set between 6 and 9 euros per half-liter or liter, while food items start at 4 euros.
