San José: 14 hospitalized at The Chainsmokers concert

Fourteen people were hospitalized following a medical emergency during an outdoor concert by the electronic duo The Chainsmokers at Discovery Meadow in San José, California, on Friday, September 4.

The San José Fire Department responded to reports of multiple patients requiring medical attention shortly after 8:20 p.m. Emergency crews deployed 14 ambulances and additional advanced life support units to manage the incident. While paramedics treated several individuals on-site, 14 attendees were ultimately transported to local hospitals.

Police informed media outlets that the hospitalizations appeared to involve suspected alcohol intoxication and drug-related issues. No specific substances were identified, and no arrests have been reported. The Chainsmokers have not yet released a public statement regarding the incident.
