San José de Feliciano Mayor admits to traffic violation

Damián Arévalo, the mayor of San José de Feliciano, has publicly admitted to committing a traffic violation. Arévalo stated on social media that he drove one block in the wrong direction due to an involuntary error caused by the rush of daily management tasks.

The mayor noted that municipal transit personnel correctly issued a citation for the infraction. He emphasized that he will pay the fine personally, asserting that “the rules are equal for everyone” and that being a public official does not grant privileges or impunity. Arévalo remarked that municipal norms must be respected without exception, regardless of one's position.
